Hiện tại đơn được dùng để miêu tả hoặc nói đến 1 hành động chúng ta thường làm.
VD: I go to school five days a week. I don’t go at weekends.
Thì hiện tại đơn được dùng để chia các động từ chỉ ‘trạng thái’ như “love”, và “know”.
VD: I love ice cream but I hate fish.
I know your sister.
Hiện tại đơn cũng được dùng để nói đến một sự thật hiển nhiên, một chân lý.
VD: The sun rises in the east.
EXERCISE 1
Mr Hogwash is an English language teacher who has brought some family photographs to show to his class. First he tells his pupils a little about his family.
